Nuwan Bandara
Nuwan Joined WSO2 in July 2009 as a software engineer and is currently working for the WSO2 Gadget Server / WSO2 Mashup Server. He was also involved with R&D in European Union’s (EU) Information Society Technologies projects (2007-2008) in the areas of SOA and mobile computing.
His areas of specialisation include Java enterprise technologies, SOA implentation, Distributed computing. Web engineering with Java / PHP technologies and software design patterns. Nuwan’s final year dissertation was designing a service oriented architecture for public infrastructure and services governance. He also won the Dr Gamini Wickramasinghe Gold medal of Excellence for his university Academia in the year 2009.
Nuwan holds a First Cass Honours Degree in Software Engineering from the Informatics Institute of Technology, Sri Lanka which is affiliated to the University of Westminster, UK and is a Member of the British Computer Society.
Nuwan is a movie buff and enjoys all night movie marathons. He is also a sports fan and enjoys swimming, table tennis and badminton.
