Afkham Azeez
Director, Architecture

Azeez joined WSO2 in December 2005 and currently works in the capacity of Director, Architecture. He is an elected Member of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and also a Project Management Committee (PMC) member and committer on a number of projects at ASF.

His areas of interest include distributed computing, SOA, Highly Available & Highly Scalable applications & J2EE technologies. He is also the author of Clustering implementation for Apache Axis2 and also co-authored the Axis2 Web Services book.

Azeez holds a First Class honors degree in Computer Science & Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He was awarded the Gold medal for the highest GPA in M.Sc. in Computer Science.

Azeez is a petrol head and an active member of the AutoLanka forum. He enjoys a game of basketball and also loves spending time with his 3 kids.
