Daniel Brum
Director, Technical Sales
Daniel Brum joins WSO2 having spent the last several years in the professional open source world. He has worked with MuleSource as a lead technical evangelist and technologist working with customers and the engineering teams.
Prior to that, Daniel worked with the JBoss ESB team as a core developer and architect, and was the lead behind the corporate Rosetta project which was donated to JBoss and became the seed for JBoss ESB. Daniel also worked with the pre-sales technical teams inside of JBoss helping to evangelize the professional open source model created by JBoss and its products.
Prior to moving into open source, Daniel was the head of enterprise applications and architecture with Aviva Canada where he introduced open source tools such as Linux, JBoss, and PostGreSQL to the insurance group.
Daniel has was also the CTO of a startup in the late 90's creating services for the intellectual property information technology space. In the past, Daniel has also worked as a consultant and software architect with companies such as Chubb & Son Insurance, Thomas Cook Americas, Sunlife Financial, Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group, SAS Argentina, IBM Canada Footprint Division.
Daniel's first exposure to consumer application development came through 3 years of C/C++ working as a developer for Delrina Canada while working on the WinFax and WinComm product lines in the early 90s.
Daniel is fluent in both English and Spanish, and attended the Seneca College/York University Computer Science programs.
