Samisa Abeysinghe

Samisa joined WSO2 in September 2005 and is currently the VP of Engineering. .

Samisa has over 9 years industry experience, and has experience working for both software systems integrators and software vendors with global exposure. As a Senior Architect he headed the WSO2 WSF/C and WSO2 WSF/PHP projects, before being appointed the Director of Engineering in April 2008.

He has been a committer of the Apache Web services project, since May 2004, and initiated the Apache Axis2/C project. Samisa has published many articles, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences, including ApacheCon, ZendCon, IndicThreads, and more. He has also published two books: RESTFul PHP Web Services, and PHP Team development.

He holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, as well as an MSc from the University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka.
