Apache Axis2’s security module, Apache Rampart 1.0 was released last week. Apache Rampart is the implementation of WS-Security specification based on Apache WSS4J 1.5.0 and Apache AXIOM-DOOM.

WSO2 is proud to be part of the Apache Axis2 1.0 release. The core engine and platform for next generation Web services and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Axis2 is a huge leap forward from its Axis and SOAP origins, being highly performant and extensible.

Apache WSS4J version 1.5.0 was released yesterday. Substantial internal refactoring and architectural improvements have gone into this release. The release also supports Rampart 1.0 module of Apache Axis2 which is the WS Security implementation for Axis2 1.0
