Alpha version 1 of WSF for C was released last week providing a fully open source framework to consume and provide Web services.

Apache Synapse, which aims to create a robust, lightweight and highly scalable XML and Web service mediation framework based on open standards and specifications, was given the green light by WS PMC members to become a sub project of the Apache Web services project.
