Mountain View, CA – April 2, 2009 – WSO2, the open source SOA company, announced today that Alok Mohan has joined the WSO2 board of directors. Alok is an industry veteran who has held management roles at IT companies for more than 30 years. With proven experience in strategy formulation and financial planning, Alok will play a central role in contributing to the next phase of WSO2’s corporate and market expansion.

Alok served as CEO of The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. (SCO) from 1995 to 1998 and then as SCO’s chairman of the board from 1998 to 2001, when a portion of SCO’s assets were sold to Caldera International, Inc. He continued as chairman of the remaining business, renamed Tarantella, Inc., until Sun Microsystems, Inc. acquired it in 2005. Before joining SCO, Alok held executive positions at NCR Corporation as vice president of strategic planning and controller, and vice president and general manager of the NCR Workstation Products Division.
Alok currently is the non-executive chairman on the board of Rainmaker, Inc. He also serves on the boards of TechTeam Global, Inc.; Stampede Technologies, Inc.; Saama Technologies, Inc.; and CrystalGraphics, Inc.
