Session Will Use an Open Source Java Platform-as-a-Service Example to Explore Issues of Multi-Tenancy, Isolation, Resource Sharing and Security in the Cloud
Palo Alto, CA – June 13, 2011 - WSO2 today announced that WSO2 Co-founder and CTO Paul Fremantle will speak at the JAX 2011 conference in a session entitled “Understanding Platform-as-a-Service.” The session will open the event’s Cloud Computing Day on June 22, 2011. The term, PaaS, covers a range of solutions for supporting the delivery of applications and services in the cloud. This session will first look at the definition of platform-as-a-service and the variations of PaaS offerings available today. The session will then examine the role of PaaS in public and private clouds, as well as the specific benefits and disadvantages of different PaaS approaches. WSO2 Stratos, an open source Java PaaS, will serve as an example to highlight issues of multi-tenancy, isolation, resource sharing and security.
