Recruitment efforts are now under way in Bloomington to support the rapid customer adoption of WSO2’s award-winning open source cloud and middleware

Palo Alto, CA and Bloomington, IN – October 25, 2013 – WSO2, the lean enterprise middleware company, today announced that it has opened the doors to its new office in Bloomington, Indiana. The expansion comes in the wake of more than 200% year over year increase in new customer bookings in 2012, as enterprises worldwide adopt WSO2’s award-winning open source cloud and enterprise middleware to achieve greater agility and fast-track their innovation.

Initially, the Bloomington office will focus on providing technical support, technical sales, and solution architecture consulting and services, improving WSO2's ability to scale these capabilities in the Eastern time zone. The company plans to hire and train local talent, and it has begun recruiting efforts in the region.

“We have long been attracted to Bloomington by the possibility for interaction and recruitment from Indiana University Bloomington. As one of the leading public research universities in the United States, it is fostering a new generation of talented technology experts to meet today’s opportunities and challenges,” said Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, chairman, founder and president of WSO2. “We have also appreciated the efforts of the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation to support our successful expansion here.”

“Bloomington has repeatedly been a top choice for high technology companies seeking available talent and quality of life,” stated Ron Walker, president of Bloomington Economic Development Corporation. “It is exciting to have WSO2, a global enterprise, choose Bloomington because of the business environment and access to talent.”
