WSO2 is proud to announce the release of the Web Services Application Server (WSAS). Formerly known as WSO2 Tungsten, WSO2 WSAS, supports XML, SOAP and WSDL for secure and reliable communications, making it simple and effective to create, consume and manage Web services.
The application server now supports WS-Trust, WS-SecureConversation, SMTP and JMS transport as well as in-built Spring support which includes the ability to upload spring beans and expose them as Web services.
With this new release several improvements to system, service and operation statistics, logging configuration and support for WS-Security (including signing and encryption, demonstrated using samples) have been made making it a production-ready, robust Web services application server.
WSAS 1.1 also includes
- WS-SecurityPolicy driven configuration for Apache Rampart
- Transport management
- Keystore and certificate management
- Ability to add/remove transport bindings to services
- Graphical & textual views of message flows
- Experimental WSDL 2.0 support
WSAS now runs on the Geronimo application server as well.
