Mountain View, CA – July 26, 2010 – Understanding state-of-the-art SOA practices, technologies and standards can mean the difference between whether a service-oriented architecture soars or stalls. That is why more than 1,000 IT professionals have attended the popular WSO2 SOA Summer School Sessions to learn what’s new and what’s working successfully in real-world enterprise SOA deployments today—both on-premise and in the cloud.
IT professionals can review the most popular SOA implementation topics and get answers to their own burning SOA questions by attending the interactive online class, "SOA Essentials: The Best of Summer.” The three-hour session is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School program. It will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
The three-hour Best of Summer session will help IT architects, developers, consultants and business analysts to gain an overall understanding of SOA concepts and approaches to implementing end-to-end SOA solutions. Topics will include:
- Best practices for building applications with the flexibility to be deployed in variety of IT environments—whether on servers within a typical data center or within state-of-the-art deployment models, such as a private cloud, public cloud, or cloud hybrid.
- Best implementation practices for core SOA technologies, such as the enterprise service bus (ESB), service composition, service orchestration, governance, and identity management.
- How to extend SOA beyond the IT team, to business teams and business users, through business rules, business process management (BPM), business activity monitoring (BAM), eventing, complex event processing (CEP) and personalized portals.
- Techniques for achieving SOA agility through the fully componentized, OSGi-based WSO2 Carbon middleware platform.
Leading the interactive session will be a panel of senior WSO2 engineering and technical consulting experts who presented the previous SOA Summer School classes. In addition to reviewing highlights from the program, the class will devote extensive time to a question-and-answer session aimed at fostering a deeper discussion and addressing top-of-mind SOA issues.SOA Summer School
