WSO2 Presents Webinar on Lightweight Orchestration Using WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus

Technical webinar will examine how IT professionals can implement integration patterns for lightweight orchestration using WSO2 ESB and the WSO2 Developer Studio IDE

Palo Alto, CA – October 10, 2013 – The ability to provide performance-critical, short-running and stateless orchestration is a common integration requirement within enterprises. WSO2 will present a technical webinar for IT architects and developers, which examines a solution pattern for lightweight orchestrations based on the service chaining of WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 ESB) with blocking and non-blocking backend service invocation.

The one-hour technical session, “Lightweight orchestration with WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus,” will run Thursday, October 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2013/10/lightweight-orchestration-with-wso2-enterprise-service-bus.

Solution Patterns for Lightweight Orchestration

The webinar will explore the relevant integration patterns for lightweight orchestration and demonstrate the implementation using both WSO2 ESB and the WSO2 Developer Studio integrated development environment (IDE). The session first will provide an explanation of the WSO2 ESB architecture and the functional components used to construct the service chaining flow. Then it will discuss how to use the graphical tools in WSO2 Developer Studio to create the ESB artifacts. Finally, it will explain how to deploy these artifacts in the enterprise service bus and test the service-chaining scenario.

Leading the webinar will be Nadeesha Gamage, who is a senior software engineer on the WSO2 solutions architecture team. He has more than four years experience in the IT industry in areas such as image processing and enterprise content management.

About WSO2 ESB and WSO2 Developer Studio

WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus provides a lightweight mediation platform that is based on and enhances the open source Apache Synapse ESB and is designed for the demands of high-volume service-oriented architecture (SOA) implementations. It is part of the award-winning WSO2 Carbon, the industry’s first fully componentized middleware platform for creating, running and managing composite applications and Web services within an SOA and cloud environment. Built on the OSGi specification, WSO2 Carbon lets developers easily deploy and customize any of more than a dozen WSO2 Carbon-based middleware products, and the 175-plus components on which they are comprised, providing greater flexibility and agility to meet changing enterprise demands.

Like all cloud-ready, fully multi-tenant WSO2 Carbon middleware products, WSO2 ESB can run directly on servers or as a virtual machine, and it is available as part of WSO2 Stratos, the industry’s most complete, open enterprise-grade private platform as a service (PaaS) software.

WSO2 Developer Studio uniquely enables developers to write an application once and then deploy it on servers, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment. The IDE provides the tools for creating service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications, RESTful services, and composite applications based on the cloud-enabled WSO2 Carbon platform. With WSO2’s IDE, developers can create a Carbon Application (C-App) that includes services running on multiple WSO2 servers—for example WSO2 ESB, WSO2 Governance Registry, and WSO2 Application Server. After it is tested, the C-App then can be deployed into production on servers or in the cloud using a WSO2 Carbon Archive (CAR).

Like all WSO2 middleware products, WSO2 ESB and WSO2 Developer Studio are fully open source solutions released under the Apache License 2.0; they do not carry any licensing fees. WSO2 offers a range of service and support options for both products, including evaluation support, special QuickStartSM consulting programs, development support, and production support.
