WSO2 to Present a Pragmatic Approach to Microservice Architecture at Gartner AADI Summit 2015

Vice president of solutions architecture will discuss how the correct use of middleware functionality enables enterprises to tap the agility offered by a microservice architecture

Mountain View, CA – December 1, 2015 – Microservice architecture (MSA) is fast becoming a popular approach for achieving an agile enterprise. However, to be effective, this architecture pattern needs to leverage a number of middleware technologies. Asanka Abeysinghe, vice president of solutions architecture at WSO2, will examine successful real-world best practices for MSA at the Gartner Application Architecture, Development & Integration (AADI) Summit.

WSO2 is a Platinum Sponsor of Gartner AADI Summit 2015, which runs December 1-3, 2015, in Las Vegas, NV.

Leveraging Microservice Architecture

The presentation, “Pragmatic approach to Microservice Architecture: Role of Middleware,” will run from 3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

Asanka will begin by discussing how the iterative development methodologies associated with a microservice architecture are attracting the interest of IT architects who need continuous delivery to support their business’ needs. He then will explain how middleware plays a key role in achieving the ease of implementation and faster time-to-market that MSA promises.

Next Asanka will examine the essential middleware capabilities required to solve the MSA puzzle. His talk will include approaches, such as continuous integration and containerization, as well as supporting technologies, including container as a service (CaaS). Asanka then will conclude with real-world examples and details of an architect-friendly pragmatic approach to the microservice architecture pattern.

Additionally, Chathura Kulasinghe, a solutions engineer at WSO2, will join Asanka in hosting a table session during the Gartner AADI Summit 2015 lunch on December 3, 2015. This will provide an opportunity for attendees to get involved in a discussion on best practices for building an application based on a microservice architecture.
