WSO2 to Present Technical Webinar on Solving Enterprise Mobility Challenges With New WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager

Webinar will examine how to use WSO2 EMM to provision devices, create and apply BYOD and COPE polices, and encourage use of authorized apps via an enterprise mobile app store

Palo Alto, CA – February 19, 2014 – Increasingly, smartphones and tablets are replacing personal computers and notebooks as the preferred devices for business applications. WSO2 will present a webinar on how to take a comprehensive approach to these enterprise mobility challenges using the new WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager (WSO2 EMM).

About WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager

WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager, which launched today, is a comprehensive product designed specifically for managing an enterprise’s corporate and employee-owned devices, as well as the mobile apps running on them. Today these include any devices and applications using the Android and Apple iOS operating systems.

WSO2 EMM features two key components. Mobile Device Management (MDM) is used to secure, manage and monitor Android and Apple iOS-powered devices. Mobile Application Management (MAM) is used to publish and provision mobile applications. Central to MAM is an intuitive enterprise mobile app store for Android and Apple iOS applications, which facilitates volume purchase management and encourages employee adoption and compliance.

As the industry’s only 100% open source mobile management solution, WSO2 EMM provides a flexible and cost-effective alternative to proprietary products. Additionally, WSO2 EMM is built on the same modular, fully componentized OSGi-compliant code base as the award-winning WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform, so it is pre-integrated with other WSO2 products. For example, integration with WSO2 Identity Server provides robust authentication and authorization. Similarly, extensive monitoring of mobile apps, devices and users is enabled by integration with WSO2’s big data analytics framework, including WSO2 Complex Event Processor (WSO2 CEP) for real-time analysis and WSO2 Business Activity Monitor (BAM) batch analysis.

Like all WSO2 software, WSO2 EMM is multi-tenant and cloud-ready, so the same software can be deployed directly on servers or in the cloud
