WSO2 to Present Technical Webinar on Using Jaggery as a Server-Side JavaScript Framework for Composing Web Applications

WSO2 Webinar on May 31, Explores How Jaggery Provides an Intuitive Pure JavaScript Server-Side Scripting Engine for Flexible Web Application Development and Deployment Palo Alto, CA – May 24, 2012 – Developing a Web application today is like entering a programmer’s Tower of Babel. The user interface is written using HTML, cascading style sheets (CSS) and JavaScript with JQuery, or a similar library. The interaction with the backend is via POST, JSON or XML; the server-side logic is written using Java or PHP, and finally data is stored in SQL or another file format. Every step in that process brings the risk of mismatched conversions requiring coding workarounds. WSO2 will conduct a free introductory webinar on how to escape this Tower of Babel by using Jaggery. A new pure JavaScript server-side scripting engine, Jaggery:
  • Offers a completely JavaScript way to write all parts of Web applications and services, reducing or eliminating conversion mismatches across the different layers of the Web application and API development experience.
  • Closes the gap between Web applications and Web services by allowing a developer to create both applications and APIs at the same time.
  • Combines the strength of JavaScript with the flexibility and freedom of PHP-like scripting environments.
The one-hour technical session, “WSO2 Product Release Webinar: Introducing Jaggery, the Server-Side JavaScript Framework for Composing Web Apps," is being held twice on Thursday, May 31: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT for the Americas and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific.
