WSO2 to Present Webinar on New Capabilities in WSO2 Complex Event Processor 3.0

WSO2 technical webinar on October 2, will examine use cases and best practices for optimizing real-time data processing with forthcoming version 3.0 of WSO2 CEP

Palo Alto, CA – September 26, 2013 – Today, organizations generate large amounts of data from enterprise resource planning (ERP), system monitoring, stock transaction and financial transaction systems. Complex event processing (CEP) enables enterprises to immediately identify interesting event occurrences, ensuring an optimal use of event patterns. However, many businesses struggle to achieve real-time processing that seamlessly integrates with service-oriented architecture (SOA) environments—all too often resulting in tightly coupled workaround solutions that compromise the SOA’s flexibility. WSO2 will present a technical webinar to address these issues and discuss how the forthcoming WSO2 Complex Event Processor 3.0 helps IT professionals optimize their data processing practices.

The one-hour technical session, “WSO2 Product Release Webinar – The WSO2 Complex Event Processor 3.0.0 for All Your Event Processing Needs,” will run Wednesday, October 2, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Using WSO2 CEP Within an SOA

The webinar will review key features and core capabilities of WSO2 CEP. It will then examine new enhancements in version 3.0, including Siddi 2.0, the latest release of the Siddhi CEP runtime engine on which WSO2 CEP is based. The session also will demonstrate how WSO2 addresses common business use cases. Other key topics will include discussions of how WSO2 CEP:

  • Integrates into an SOA environment.
  • Achieves high availability, persistence and scalability.
  • Can be combined with the WSO2 Business Activity Monitor for batch processing.
  • Addresses critical data processing needs.

Leading the webinar will be Sriskandarajah Suhothayan, WSO2 associate technical lead and a member of the WSO2 data technologies team, who focuses on WSO2 CEP. In addition to his product development efforts, Suhothayan has provided technology consulting on customer engagements, including QuickStart programs focused on SAP integration.
