WSO2 to Present Webinar on Secure API Management via the OAuth Open Authentication Standard

Webinar will examine how API architects can take advantage of the OAuth reference architecture in WSO2 API Manager to implement API management with robust security

Palo Alto, CA – January 22, 2014 – Growing demand to use the OAuth open authentication standard is challenging API architects to build robust security architectures with existing security standards and heterogeneous systems and sub-systems. To support this requirement, WSO2 will present a webinar on how to take advantage of the OAuth reference architecture available with WSO2 API Manager.

The one-hour technical webinar, “OAuth Based Reference Architecture for API Management,” will be held Wednesday, January 29, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST. To learn more, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2014/01/oauth-based-reference-architecture-for-api-management.

How OAuth Fits into API Management

The webinar will begin with a review of the OAuth open authentication standard, which has gained popularity for its ability to let users share content stored on one site with another site without having to share all their access permissions. This will be followed by a discussion of the OAuth reference architecture available with WSO2 API Manager, which enables secure authorization of subscribed APIs via the OAuth 2.0 key model and supports the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Grant. Key topics will include:

  • OAuth model
  • OAuth support in WSO2 API Manager
  • Application development and OAuth
  • Future direction of WSO2 API Manager in supporting OAuth

Leading the webinar will be Sumedha Rubasinghe, WSO2 senior software architect, who focuses on development of the WSO2 Carbon Core, WSO2 Data Services, WSO2 Governance Registry, WSO2 Business Activity Monitor, and WSO2 API Manager.
