Technical webinars will explore the use of SSO solutions based open industry standards, including WSO2 Identity Server, to ensure enterprise security and identity management
Palo Alto, CA – April 24, 2013 – Today, companies widely use username/password-based authentication to ensure secure, private access to the vast numbers of applications running on the Web, cloud and mobile devices. However, the cracks in this authentication approach continue to widen as these applications are accessed by billions of users worldwide. This is leading more organizations to rely on single sign-on (SSO) solutions to successfully manage
access across multiple related, but independent, software systems. WSO2 will conduct a two-part webinar series that examines how SSO technologies, including
WSO2 Identity Server, effectively address today’s authentication challenges. The sessions include:
- A Walk Through SSO: Tuesday, April 30, 2013
- SSO with the WSO2 Identity Server: Wednesday, May 8, 2013
Each session will run from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. To learn more and register, visit

April 30: A Walk Through SSO
Username/password-based authentication is a security mechanism used to effectively protect Web applications. However, this authentication method increasingly has become an anti-pattern due to the challenges surrounding the management of multiple users and identities. This webinar will introduce SSO systems and examine how they solve common authentication and identity issues. It also will explore how SSO technologies enable rich features, such as identity delegation and identity federation. Additionally, this session will review available SSO technologies and solution patterns. To learn more, visit

May 8: SSO with WSO2 Identity Server
Increasingly, various technologies have emerged to support and extend SSO-based identity management, including the OpenID identity framework, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0, Kerberos protocol, and WS-Security specifications. This webinar will examine various SSO technologies on the market, evaluating their pros and cons. The
session also will review common SSO-related identity management issues and discuss how to implement SSO solutions using the WSO2 Identity Server. To learn more, visit
