Fast & Easy Cloud & Mobile App Development

Learn to rapidly build Cloud Apps, Web APIs and native Mobile Apps and their Cloud-based Web APIs. WSO2 experts - Apache committers, contributors and enterprise architects - will review components of a Cloud Architecture and highlight capabilities of the industry leading WSO2 Stratos Cloud Middleware Platform - the software that powers the WSO2 StratosLive Java Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). These capabilities enable developers to rapidly build Apps that integrate with heterogenous enterprise environments, access diverse data sources and orchestrate business processes.

Jean-Jacques Dubray - SOA expert, BPM and EAI veteran, author of books on SCA and Software Development, editor at InfoQ and Founder & CTO of Convergence Modeling will build and demo iPhone and Android Mobile Apps using the Eclipse based WSO2 Carbon Studio, the Canappi rapid Mobile App development platform, Android toolkit, iOS SDK and WSO2 StratosLive. JJ will demonstrate how to build a simple cross platform Survey app for both Android and iPhone with WSO2 StratosLive Data-as-a-Service.

Topics covered:

  • Cloud Apps - Architecture and Programming Model

What is the architecture of a Cloud App and how do you use common programming models to rapidly build Cloud Apps that support multi-tenancy, ensure security and scalability.

  • WSO2 StratosLive Java PaaS - powered by WSO2 Stratos, the most complete and open middleware platform

Understand and use the capabilities of WSO2 middleware platforms to rapidly build a Cloud App. Access a full suite of enterprise-grade middleware services including Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)-as-a-Service, Data as-a-Service, Business Processes as-a-Service to build your App and allow the WSO2 platforms to take care of multi-tenancy, security and the elastic scaling of your App.

  • Lab 1: Build a multi-tenant Web App in the Cloud

Click to create an account and get instant access to enterprise-grade middleware services. Use capabilities of the multi-tenant WSO2 Stratos Cloud Middleware Platform to securely extract data from a NoSQL (Cassandra) database.

  • Lab 2: Create and Orchestrate Business Processes in the Cloud

Manipulate that data as you develop a complete business process from start to finish using the WSO2 Business Process Server and the WSO2 Stratos Cloud Middleware Platform.

  • Lab 3: Build a native, cross-platform Mobile App that uses Cloud-based Web APIs

Build and demo iPhone and Android Mobile Apps using the Eclipse based WSO2 Carbon Studio, the Canappi rapid Mobile App development platform, Android toolkit, iOS SDK and the WSO2 StratosLive Java PaaS. JJ will demonstrate how to build a simple cross platform Survey app for both Android and iPhone with WSO2 StratosLive Data as-a-Service.
