Chris Haddad presented a session outlining the challenges of API-fying legacy data sources and aggregating open data, and also described how mainstream business users can tap into powerful open data models. in his talk titled "Turning Spreadsheets into APIs" he described how to transform the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics flat files and spreadsheets into connected APIs, and enable mainstream economic model collaboration.

Sumedha Rubasinghe presented a talk titled "Dealing with API Statistics - the scalable way". This session helped organisations to analyse who uses their APIs, while understanding how statistics help in capacity planning, deployment, maintain schedules and trend analyses as well as assist the decision-making process. This session discussed scalable statistics collection for API ecosystems, key design considerations, real-time and offline analysis as well as WSO2’s approach for dealing with these challenges.
Chris and Sumedha co-hosted a workshop titled "Six Tactics For Building Successful APIs" where participants learned how to make tactical design decisions that expand internal and external API community, reliably connect back-end Cloud services, rapidly publish data as APIs, secure API interactions, and synchronize lifecycle activities. The session included the building of a few live APIs in the Cloud.
