Calling all Students

Google Summer of Code 2016
Now Open for Proposals!

Proposals accepted from March 14 - 25, 2016.

We are excited to be a mentor organization for
this year’s Google Summer of Code (GSoC).

GSoC is a global program focused on introducing students to open source software development. Students get paid by Google to work on a 3 month programming project during their break from school. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, be a part of a community and experience working with a larger organization.

We have over 30 proposals to choose from in the areas of application integration, application development, API management, cloud platform as a service technologies, business process management and monitoring, complex event processing, data analytics, machine learning, and presentation technologies.

Here’s how it all works:

1

Pick a project and prepare a detailed proposal based on the project topics provided in our proposals list. Proposal should include a detailed design of the proposed solution and delivery timeline plan.

2

Accepted students will be paired with a mentor and will spend some time getting to know the community and products they will be working on.

3

Students start coding during the summer with mentors helping along the way by reviewing code samples.

4

By the end of August students will be notified if they have successfully completed their projects.
