WSO2 Web Services Frameworks provide developers the infrastructure to create and consume Web services in their favorite scripting language. It is a comprehensive Web services enabler allowing developers to focus on processing business logic rather than on infrastructural aspects such as WSDLs and Qualities of Service (QoS) functionality.

Based on C, the frameworks extend support for other scripting languages such as PHP, C++, Perl, Spring, Ruby, Python and Jython. With just a few entries in the application context, WSO2 Web Services Framework users can now enjoy the benefits of SOA using Web services in their applications.

At the core of the Web Services Frameworks is Apache Axis2/C and related family of projects which implement WS-Security, WS-Reliability, WS-Addressing, WS-SercurePolicy, WS-ReliableMessaging and more.

WSO2 WSF products interoperate with Microsoft .NET, the Apache Axis2/Java-based WSO2 Web Services Application Server (WSO2 WSAS), and other J2EE implementations. They have also been tested for basic SOAP level interoperability as well as WS-* specification implementations.
