Standard-based Single Sign-on

Through single sign-on, a user logs into one system and gains access to multiple related, but independent systems without being prompted to log in again for each system. The WSO2 Security and Identity Gateway Solution supports single sign-on based on the following standards.

SAML2 web browser single sign-on
OpenID

Similar to SAML2, OpenID provides decentralized SSO. However, in contrast to SAML2, the OpenID relying party is not tightly coupled with the Identity Provider.

Single sign-on greatly simplifies system administrative tasks and improves user-convenience by reducing the number of passwords to remember, saving multiple log-in time and effort etc.
