IT architects and developers can learn best practices for implementing business process management, analysis and monitoring within their SOAs by attending the interactive online class, “Business-Facing SOA.” The three-hour session is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School program. It will be held on Thursday, July 1, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
Leading the Business-Facing SOA class is Samisa Abeysinghe , WSO2 vice president of engineering. He will discuss and demonstrate proven approaches for composing business process services and then orchestrating and monitoring them within an SOA. The session also will look at how to implement a feedback cycle to ensure continuous improvement of an enterprise’s business processes. Additionally, attendees will learn state-of-the-art techniques for visualizing data and using analytics, business intelligence and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking to help make timely decisions. A look at business-facing technologies within an SOA will include business process management systems (BPMS), portals, and business activity monitoring (BAM).
The popular WSO2 SOA Summer School program returns in 2010 to provide the developer community with a deeper understanding of proven IT development best practices and the industry standards supporting them. The eight-week program is open to all individuals who want to boost their SOA knowledge through direct interaction with some of the industry's leading experts—a once-a-year opportunity to obtain thousands of dollars worth of professional training at zero cost.
