Mountain View-Based WSO2 Raises $6.5 Million in New Funding - Silicon Valley Wire

Mountain View, Calif. -- WSO2, the Mountain View-based developer of an open-source middleware platform, said on Thursday it has raised $6.5 million in a new round of funding, led by Quest Software. Previous backer Intel Capital also participated in the round, which the company will use to expand its global operations; grow its Silicon Valley-based marketing, sales and support teams; and extend its platform-as-a-service offerings. In related news, WSO2 it is moving to new office space in Palo Alt later this month to accommodate the growth of its Silicon Valley team.
