WSO2 and Eucalyptus Systems to Conduct Webinar on Building a Cloud Application Platform
WSO2 and Eucalyptus Systems Technical Webinar Will Explore How to Build a Cloud Application Platform That Decreases Server Count, Associated Risk, Burden and Expense
Palo Alto, CA – July 11, 2012 – A cloud application platform environment can enhance development team agility, lower security risk, streamline application management, and raise server efficiency. However, cloud application teams are discovering that, at scale, traditional virtual server tenancy environments create a proliferation of cloud machine instances, which increase the security risk, management burden, and operational expense to help IT professionals adopt best practices and avoid these risks, WSO2 and Eucalyptus Systems will conduct a joint webinar, “Building a Cloud Application Platform.” The webinar will be presented jointly by Chris Haddad, WSO2 vice president of technology evangelism, and Paul Weiss, Eucalyptus Systems senior cloud engineer. The session is being held twice on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Pacific and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific. For more information, visit
http:// wso2.com/library/webinars/2012/07/building-cloud-application-platform.
Together Chris and Paul will examine how organizations can develop a scalable, automated, multi-tenant environment that enforces security isolation, pools database and user resources, and rapidly provisions application environments. The session also will:
Examine the cloud architecture components underpinning the cloud-native
WSO2 Stratos
cloud middleware platform and
Eucalyptus Cloud
platform for on-premise infrastructure as a service (IaaS) clouds.
Explain how operation teams can specify and define resource sharing, partition tenants, and monitor service performance.
Explain how operation teams can specify and define resource sharing, partition tenants, and monitor service performance.
Review how to establish a run-time feedback loop between an application and infrastructure.
Discuss why Java container multi-tenancy increases tenant density and decreases cloud environment count.
