WSO2 Launches Webinar Series on Mission-Critical Architecture and Infrastructure
WSO2 Experts Will Lead Web-Based Training Series on How to Achieve High Availability and Cloud Scale, Maximize Performance, and Reduce Infrastructure Footprint
Palo Alto, CA – November 8, 2012
– An explosion of data and growing opportunities to reach customers and partners via the Web, cloud, mobile, and social media—while minimizing costs and resource demands—are placing new demands on enterprise IT implementations. On November 14, 2012, WSO2 will kick off a new webinar series designed to help architects, developers, technical operations engineers, and DevOps engineers address these challenges. The “WSO2 Mission Critical” webinar series will explore project use cases, crafted run-time policies, and recommended infrastructure topologies that maximize performance, minimize footprint, and deliver successful quality of service (QoS). Additionally, the sessions will examine unique architecture advancements of the

and how they can increase infrastructure reliability, availability, scalability, and automated elasticity. The four webinars are:
Right-size Deployment Instances to Meet Enterprise Demand – Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Adjust Carbon Topology to Match High Availability Scenario Requirements – Wednesday, November 28, 2012
Maximize Messaging Performance and Lowering Infrastructure Footprint – Thursday, December 6, 2012
Achieve Cloud-Scale by Implementing Elastic Load Balancing, Asset Deployment, and Synchronization – Thursday, December 13, 2012
Each session will run from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. To learn more and register, visit https://wso2.com/landing/webinars/mission-critical-webinar-series.
Right-size Deployment Instances to Meet Enterprise Demand
Deployment architectures are important for ensuring the stability of a production system and addressing non-functional requirements, such as high-availability, scalability and security. Additionally, deployment architectures can measure how easily a current system can be enhanced for future business and technical requirements. This webinar will examine how to build an optimal deployment architecture by identifying the correct deployment patterns and proper capacity planning. The session will be presented by Asanka Abeysinghe, WSO2 director of solutions architecture. For more information, visit

.
Adjust Carbon Topology to Match High Availability Scenario Requirements
Enterprises require high availability to ensure that systems can continue to function correctly even when there are failures. Redundancy is the most widely used technique in designing such fault-tolerant systems. However, redundancy always comes at a trade-off in cost versus availability. This webinar will examine how these techniques are employed in the WSO2 platform to achieve high availability and fault tolerance while taking cost and performance factors into consideration. This session also will explore techniques enterprise architects can employ to make deployment topology decisions based on availability requirements at an optimum cost. Presenter Afkham Azeez is WSO2 director of architecture. For more information, visit

.
Maximize Messaging Performance and Lowering Infrastructure Footprint
Performance tuning and increased sharing through multi-tenancy can significantly reduce system size, software cost, and operational cost. This webinar will examine how to achieve maximum message performance with WSO2 products and explore how performance tuning and multi-tenancy can reduce the infrastructure footprint of a given deployment. The session also will provide guidelines on when to choose different message options, such as SOAP, HTTP/JSON, Thrift, and JMS. Additionally, the webinar will review scenarios and use cases with products, such as the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus, WSO2 Message Broker, WSO2 Complex Event Processing Server, and WSO2 Business Activity Monitor. Presenting will be Srinath Perera, WSO2 senior software architect. For more information, visit

.
Achieve Cloud-Scale by Implementing Elastic Load Balancing, Asset Deployment, and Synchronization
Middleware and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings can help application developers achieve massive scalability by transparently handling complexities and providing intuitive interfaces. This webinar will examine how to achieve cloud scalability for applications by devising a plan for asset deployment and the synchronization of assets. The session also will review techniques used by middleware and PaaS offerings to hide the complexities involved in application scalability. Presenter Selvaratnam “Shankar” Uthaiyashankar is WSO2 director of cloud solutions and chair of the WSO2 cloud technologies management committee. For more information, visit
