The one-hour WSO2 technical webinar is being held twice on Thursday, February 23: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST for the Americas and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific.
This webinar will discuss the requirements and challenges of enterprise database management, and explore how various solutions address these demands on-premise and in the cloud. Among the approaches reviewed will be SQL-based relational databases, column family databases such as Apache Cassandra, MapReduce style processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, and file systems such as Apache Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). The session also will examine potential use cases in which these different approaches are supported by data solutions available with the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform.
The webinar will be led by two SOA experts and WSO2 technical leads, Wathsala Vithanage and Deependra Ariyadewa. Wathsala, who specializes in peer-to-peer (P2P) computing and content distribution systems, is focused on enabling Apache Hadoop on WSO2 Carbon-based products. Deependra has more than a decade of experience in system administration, and he is engaged in WSO2 research and development related to the cloud and big data.
