WSO2 raises $6.5M in funding - Staff, Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal

WSO2 Inc. said Thursday it raised $6.5 million in funding.

The round was led by Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software Inc. and joined by Intel Capital, the funding arm of Santa Clara-based Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC).

WSO2 said it will use the funds to expand operations and extends its platform-as-a-service offerings in open source middleware.

The company also said it will move its headquarters from Mountain View to Palo Alto.

Tyler Jewell, Quest Software investment manager, joins the WSO2 board as a board observer.
