WSO2 releases Web Services Framework for PHP

Version 1.0 alpha of the WSO2 Web Services Framework for PHP was released recently providing a PHP extension for Web services. WSO2 WSF for PHP is based on Apache Axis2/C and supports the WS-* stack.

Released under the Apache License, Version 2.0, WSO2 WSF for PHP supports SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2, MTOM, WS-Addressing, WS-Security UsernameToken and REST style invocations with WS-Reliable Messaging, WS-Security full support (encryption/signature), WS-Eventing, WSDL generation/Proxy generation/Data binding to be added on in the near future.

Key features of this release include Client API to consume Web services, Service API to provide Web services and support for different XML formats for payload: string, SimpleXMLElement, domDocument.
