WSO2 to Present Technical Webinar on Implementing an API Façade Pattern
WSO2 Webinar on September 25, Will Examine How to Optimize Integration by Exposing ESB Endpoints, Data, Business Processes, and Application Services as Business APIs
Palo Alto, CA – September 17, 2012
– Increasingly, organizations require rapid integration of mobile applications, partners, and internal services. However, when using an enterprise service bus (ESB) and its rich mediation capabilities, IT teams often experience difficulty with complex and time-consuming integration projects. An
API
façade pattern extends ESB mediation capabilities, preserving existing investments while delivering a productive, self-service integration environment. To help IT professionals facilitate this effort, WSO2 will present a webinar that examines how to optimize integration projects and service-oriented architecture (SOA) integrity with an API façade pattern. The one-hour technical session, “WSO2 Use Case: API Façade Pattern," is being held on Tuesday, September 25, at 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit

The webinar will explore how to properly implement an API façade pattern for integration projects. The session also will examine how to improve architecture quality by separating mediation and security services from APIs. Additionally, participants will learn how to expose data services, business process services, application services, and
ESB
endpoints as business APIs and maintain architectural integrity. Finally, the session will discuss when capacity planning decisions mandate specific deployment patterns of the WSO2 API Management Platform. Leading the webinar will be Asanka Abeysinghe, WSO2 director of solutions architecture. Asanka provides consulting and training for enterprise IT architects and developers, and he focuses on the company’s vertical market capabilities, including financial services. Asanka has more than a decade of experience implementing projects, from desktops and Web applications to highly scalable distributed systems and SOAs, mobile platforms, and business integration solutions.
