WSO2 to Present Technical Webinar on New Capabilities in WSO2 Stratos 2.0 PaaS

Technical webinar on July 9, will explore cloud-native capabilities such as multi-tenancy, self-service provisioning, metering and billing in WSO2 Stratos 2.0

Palo Alto, CA – June 24, 2013 – In seeking to implement heterogeneous environments in the cloud, too often enterprises are asked to compromise between the flexibility to work with their preferred systems and the ability to capitalize on the benefits of PaaS multi-tenancy. WSO2 addresses this trade-off with WSO2 Stratos 2.0, the industry’s most complete, open enterprise-grade platform as a service (PaaS). In a webinar for IT professionals, WSO2 will review the new features of WSO2 Stratos 2.0, which launched on June 19, 2013, and examine how its multi-tenant cloud capabilities go beyond other PaaS environments to support multiple levels of virtualization.

The session will be held Thursday, July 9, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2013/07/wso2-product-release-webinar-getting-started-with-wso2-stratos-.

The webinar will review how WSO2 Stratos 2.0 provides polyglot language and environment support through a new cartridge architecture. The session also will examine how leveraging jclouds, the Apache incubator project, enables a WSO2 Stratos PaaS deployment to dynamically “cloud burst” or scale across multiple infrastructure as a service (IaaS) runtimes from different providers. It will also provide an overview of elastic load balancing, distributed logging, automated artifact distribution, and PaaS billing and metering. Other topics will include how to:

  • Install WSO2 Stratos onto an Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2) IaaS.
  • Manage and deploy tenants, including self-service tenant sign-up.
  • Address multi-tenancy requirements, from “economy class” for low priority workloads to “private jet” mode for workloads requiring dedicated resources.
  • Use the new command line interface.
