Isabelle's presentation, “APIs for People: How APIs Are Already Influencing Your Life,” will run 11:25-11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. In this session, Isabelle will present examples of how businesses are driving innovation through an API model—from a small startup in Barcelona to a large retail provider in the United States. Additionally, she will demonstrate how the Internet of Things and APIs can work efficiently together.

Workshop – Best Practices and Recommendations from the Integration Battlefield

The workshop, “Sharing Best Practices and Recommendations from the Integration Battlefield,” will be held 2:00-3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. In this workshop, Isabelle will examine the role of APIs in enterprise integration. She then will review case studies of real-world enterprise deployments and share best practices and recommendations from the "integration battlefield" around security, monitoring and performance.

About the Presenter

Isabelle Mauny, WSO2 vice president of product management, leads the WSO2 Madrid office and works with WSO2’s engineering, sales, and marketing teams to maximize the customer value of WSO2 middleware products, platforms and solutions. She played a central role in bringing the 100% open source WSO2 API Manager to market in 2012. Isabelle has more than 20 years of technology, consulting and management experience in Java, application development, middleware, and SOA. She is a published author and regular speaker on the topics of system administration, application development, and architecture.
