Amila is an Architect and based in our office in Colombo.
Prior to joining WSO2 for the second time, he worked as an Architect at Apigate Sdn. Bhd. where he was involved in developing products and providing integration solutions for Telco customers in Sri Lanka and overseas.
Before his time at Apigate, he was following a full time master's degree at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka where he was conducting research on building data mining applications on GPUs. The framework he proposed was presented at DATA 2019.
During his first stretch at WSO2, Amila worked as a Product Lead for WSO2 API Manager and overlooked the performance aspect of the product. He has helped several key customers to build their API Management solutions and provided consultancy on integration, identity management related projects. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and he is mainly interested in building scalable distributed systems.
