Udeshika has over 20 years of experience in human resources and administration. After embarking on a career in advertising and marketing, she took on more strategic roles at multiple non-governmental organizations, where she spearheaded several projects that involved people and policies.
In 2007, she joined WSO2 to lead the HR function, which involved formulating and implementing a framework as well as policies and procedures in the areas of administration, compensation and benefits, talent management, and career planning. She’s also responsible for driving in-house team building initiatives and internal communications in line with our open culture. She has been instrumental in reviewing and enhancing HR and administrative functions to ensure fairness and consistency across all of WSO2’s offices around the globe.
She holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), Sri Lanka, a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from the National University of Ireland, a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK, and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies.
Udeshika is a fitness freak and believes a fitter you can help to flex between the paradoxes of human resources and lead with empathy, tough love, and fair play. She’s a member of WSO2’s women’s basketball team, swimming squad, and hockey team. She practices Krav Maga as well as yoga as part of her fitness routine.
