Associate Technical Lead - QA (IAM Team)

The Identity and Access Management(IAM) team at WSO2 is looking for an exceptional engineer who can lead a team and help us to enhance the quality of our product. Key Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of industry experience in software quality testing and automation
  • At least 1 year experience in leading a QA team
  • Thinking outside of the box, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Programming skills on any language, SQL, knowledge on Shell and other scripting languages will be a definite advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with working on Identity and access management, microservices or cloud-native technologies will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Junit, TestNG, Jenkins, Maven, Git
  • Demonstrated experience in measuring and reporting quality-related metrics to identify trends and proactively identify problems
  • Experience in testing of distributed systems


  • Leading the QA team in the execution of tests on WSO2 Identity Server
  • Mentor, develop, and coach members of the QA team
  • Take the ownership of deriving test plans and executing them
  • Develop automated tests and scripts
  • Provide customer support services when necessary
  • Record test results, defect reports, and complete all test activities
  • The ability to give technical leadership to a small team; and delegate and follow-up on work assigned
  • Ability to communicate clearly, articulate both in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to conduct product demos, trainings, and presentations
  • Engage with the extended teams such as documentation, pre-sales, marketing, and sales on product and customer related activities
