Software Engineer - Customer Success (Open Banking)

WSO2 Open banking is a solution platform that enables digital transformation in the banking and financial ecosystem.

Our Customer Success Team is looking for passionate engineers who can ensure the efficient and effective delivery of WSO2 technologies and who can enable our customers to succeed and grow.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Job Performance
    • Handle incidents and queries in an efficient and effective manner
    • Understand product internals
    • Ability to debug and identify problems in WSO2 products
    • Ability to develop extensions for WSO2 products
    • Proactively keep customers informed about tasks and progress in a timely manner
    • Contribute to war rooms
    • Ability to successfully contribute to technical and non-technical discussions via email and in-person
    • Engage with extended teams such as engineering, pre-sales, marketing, and sales on product- and customer-related activities
    • Deliver consultancy engagements
  • Teamwork and Leadership
    • Be part of a team and perform any ad hoc tasks required for the success of the team and realize customer success
    • Build a solid professional relationship with the Customer Success Team. Handle conflicts professionally and works towards resolutions
    • Communicate issues and risks proactively and mitigate risks to deadlines and deliverables
    • Give timely and helpful (positive as well as negative) feedback to interns, peers, and seniors (e.g., 360-degree feedback)
    • Ability to work on your own with self-motivation
  • Communication
    • Ability to communicate clearly (written and in-person)
    • Good understanding of communication practices with customers and other external stakeholders
    • Ability to communicate with empathy
    • Share frequent updates during consultancy engagements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Qualifications and Work Experience
    • BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Eager to learn new technologies
    • Development skills in Java or C/C++ or other comparable programming languages
    • Experience in enterprise technologies are an added advantage (e.g., microservices, enterprise integration, API management, identity and access management)
    • Prior work experience in a similar capacity would be an added benefit, but not a prerequisite
