APIs have emerged as a critical component of any digital transformation. It's always about APIs, regardless of whether you're building new applications on top of infrastructure as a service (IaaS), purchasing new software as a service (SaaS), modernising legacy systems, integrating across applications, or publishing and consuming APIs.

The need to improve customer experience by providing an engaging digital experience is one of the most important drivers of digital transformation. Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) is the foundation for creating personalised, frictionless customer experiences while maintaining security. CIAM helps businesses to scale and provide safe, seamless digital experiences for their customers while gathering and managing identity data with purpose and guaranteeing compliance with the latest privacy regulations.

This workshop is designed to help guide you toward the best API and CIAM strategy and architecture for your needs.

Join us as we work through real-world examples using open source WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 Identity Server how to:

  • Create APIs using an API-first approach
  • Implement API-led integration in the context of API first
  • Create different types of APIs, including Async APIs with GraphQL, which are used to support an event-driven architecture
  • Implement API security with strong adaptive authentication, progressive user profiles, self-care features, and Bring Your Own Identity (BYOI) using CIAM.
  • Utilise CIAM across applications and APIs to capture and secure customer identity, and improve customer experience.

By the end of this workshop you will understand how to implement best-practices that have helped so many other organisations achieve their digital transformation goals through faster innovation and by delivering exceptional customer experiences.
