Dr. C. Mohan has been an IBM researcher for 30 years in the information management area, impacting numerous IBM and non-IBM products, the research community and standards, especially with his invention of the ARIES family of locking and recovery algorithms, and the Presumed Abort commit protocol. This IBM, ACM and IEEE Fellow has also served as the IBM India Chief Scientist. In addition to receiving the ACM SIGMOD Innovation Award, the VLDB 10 Year Best Paper Award and many IBM awards, he has been elected to the US and Indian National Academies of Engineering, and has been named an IBM Master Inventor. This distinguished alumnus of IIT Madras received his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an inventor of 36 patents. He serves on the advisory board of IEEE Spectrum and on the IBM Software Group Architecture Board’s Council.

Sastry is a technology evangelist with over 20 years of experience in architecting and building scalable distributed computing systems, in the areas of Application Servers, Java/J2EE/Web Services, SOA and Grid Computing. He is currently a Distinguished Architect at eBay, driving the SOA architecture and platform for the eBay ecommerce platform. Prior to joining eBay, Sastry was Co-Founder and CTO of OpenGridSolutions, Founding member and Architect at SpikeSource, and an Architect at Oracle. Sastry also worked at many other companies in the early stages of his career and holds a Masters degree from I.I.T, Kharagpur, India. Sastry has presented at many conferences including JavaOne, Oracle World, SOA world and IONA world to name a few. Sastry contributed to and represented in many standards at OMG, JCP, GGF and OASIS.

Gregor Hohpe is a Staff Software Engineer with Google. As a widely recognized thought leader on asynchronous messaging and service-oriented architectures. he co-authored the seminal book ‘Enterprise Integration Patterns’ (Addison-Wesley, 2004) and contributed to a variety of publications, including “97 Things Every Architect Should Know”. Narendra has been the Chief Architect of the Advanced SOA center of excellence in Cognizant Technologies for the past 3 years. His current areas of research includes open source SOA, complex event processing, semantic SOA & SOA governance. His areas of specialization also include defining & realizing solution architecture using service oriented architecture style for potential customers by way of providing consulting. Narendra’s prior experience includes 12 years in Fidelity Investments as a Director of Architecture. He is a TOGAF certified professional and also an expert in Banking & Financial Services, particularly Securities & Corporate actions processing.

Sanjiva has been involved with open source for many years and is an active member of the Apache Software Foundation. He was the original creator of Apache SOAP and has been part of Apache Axis, Apache Axis2 and most Apache Web services projects. Sanjiva founded WSO2 after having spent nearly 8 years in IBM Research, where he was one of the founders of the Web services platform. During that time, he co-authored many Web services specifications including WSDL, BPEL4WS, WS-Addressing, WS-RF and WS-Eventing.

Co-founder and CTO, Paul spearheads WSO2’s overall product strategy. His involvement in Open Source goes back to the original Apache SOAP project, where Paul donated code to enable access to Enterprise JavaBeans. He was a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM for 9 years and led IBM’s involvement in the Axis C/C++ project. He currently co-chair’s the OASIS Web Services Reliable eXchange Technical Committee, which is charged with creating the industry standard for reliable message exchange over SOAP.

Amani became a part of the WSO2 team in the capacity of a Software Engineer in March 2010 and works on the WSO2 Data Services product.

Specializing in Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval, Cryptography and Web Service Security, Amila joined the WSO2 team in March 2010 as a Technical Lead and currently works on Rampart/Java, Rampart / C and Identity Server projects.

Amila Joined WSO2 in January 2006 and is Architect & Product Manager – Business Rules Server. He is currently working on Data binding, Reliable Messaging and Cloud computing. He has also actively contributed to the Apache Axis2 and Sandesha2 projects as well as the WSO2 Web Services Application Server.

Andreas Wichmann is the Systems Architect responsible for the WSO2 platform integration within the ConnectedCar project of T-Systems. He has been involved in architecture and development of the German Electronic Toll Collection System and other large-scale enterprise application projects since 2001.

Azeez joined WSO2 in December 2005 and currently works in the capacity of Director, Architecture. He is an elected Member of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and also a Project Management Committee (PMC) member and committer on a number of projects at ASF.

Having written code since Vic20, Brad has over 10 years experience in the IT industry. He is passionate about innovation in software, and especially open source. Brad has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Willamette University.

Charith joined WSO2 as a Software Engineer in September 2010 after completing a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, where he specialized in Computer Science and Engineering.

Charitha joined the WSO2 Quality Assurance team in October 2006 and is now the Senior Technical Lead & Manager, Quality Assurance. With over 8 years experience Charitha is well versed in SOA middleware testing. Leading and managing the QA efforts at WSO2, Charitha’s core competencies are in testing web applications, agile testing, test automation and performance testing. An Apache Committer, he has also worked with various testing tools and technologies.

Chathuri joined WSO2 in April 2009 as a Senior Software Engineer and is currently working on the WSO2 Tools team.

Dakshitha joined WSO2 in September 2010 as a Software Engineer on the WSO2 Tools team.She has hands on experience with 2 years in Java/J2EE technologies and has worked on designing and implementing software solutions in the fields of health-care information systems and content management systems for telecommunications providers prior to her employment at WSO2.

David Schumm is a Ph.D. student and Research Associate in computer science since 2008. His Ph.D. supervisor is Prof. Frank Leymann. David is focusing on managing complexity in service-oriented architectures and process-based applications. Before he started to work at university he gained professional experience at Hewlett-Packard in software development and at Bosch Security Systems in global marketing and e-communication.

Denis joined WSO2 as a Software Engineer and currently contributes towards the WSO2 Business Process Server product.

Deependra joined in December 2005 as a Senior Linux systems engineer at WSO2.
He has over 7 years experience in administration, configuring and troubleshooting of various Linux systems including Apache web server, Proftp ftp server, Squid proxy server and Sendmail mail server and is very interested in distributed systems. He currently works on BigData related R&D projects with Apache Cassandra and Apache Hadoop projects

Dimuthu joined WSO2 in December 2006 as a senior software engineer and is now the Product Manager of WSO2 Stratos and a Technical Lead.

Dipanjan is a leader in the Center of Excellence for Advanced Service-Oriented Architecture within the Global Technology Office of Cognizant Technology Solutions. Dipanjan leads the innovations around federated service-oriented architectures and service-oriented enterprise integrations. He has conceived and developed numerous technology-neutral frameworks and solution accelerators to handle complex service federaion and integration scenarios for various business domains.

Dmitry has over 14 years expereince in IT sofitware development and has a keen interest in SOA and open source technologies. He has been the Head of Integration Solutions Department of Alfa-Bank Kiev, Ukraine for more then 3 years. He is responsible for all integration processes and projects.

Guillaume is an IT consultant and WSO2 Advocate with 15+ years experience in web and open source technologies, web application development, system administration and project management and XML technologies. Guillaume currently lives in Chile and is fluent in French, Spanish, and English.

Harsha Senanayake is the Head of Enterprise Solutions at John Keells Holding PLC, a blue-chip conglomerate in Sri Lanka. He has over 10 years of industry experience working on projects ranging from Enterprise Architecture Planning and Business Case formulation, complex Systems Integrations, ERP presales and implementations to Software Development. He is also an open source evangelist and was a key contributor to the Linux Sinhala localization project. His other areas of interest include Business Processes Re-engineering and Business IT alignment, web technologies, Data-warehousing and BI, mobile platforms, J2EE and Web/social media marketing. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the London Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems Management from the University of Colombo.

Harshana joined WSO2 in September 2010 and currently works as a Software Engineer on the WSO2 Carbon Studio team.

Hiranya first joined WSO2 in October 2007 as an intern where he worked on WSO2’s automated interoperability test framework and implementing finance messaging capability for WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus. Now an Associate Technical Lead, he currently works on WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and WSO2 Carbon projects. He is an Apache committer for Apache SynapseESB and Apache Xerces2/J. Hiranya is the author of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) transport for Apache SynapseESB and WSO2 ESB and is a regular contributor to open source projects like Apache Derby and Apache Web Services.

suru joined WSO2 in May 2008 and is Technical Lead & Product Manager – Web Services Application Server. He was an intern at WSO2 in 2007 where he implemented JSON support for the Apache Axis2/Java project. He particiapted in the Google Summer of code 2007 program where he worked on the log4j-chainsaw project under Apache Software Foundation.

Jorge has 6 years of experience in Software Development. A WSO2 advocate since 2009, his interests are in SOA Methodology, SOA Security, Web Services development and Open Source Technologies. Jorge currently works as a SOA Architect in Integration and Interoperability projects and is a member of the “Center for the Development of Enterprise Architectures“ (CDAE) in the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), Cuba, as chief of department for “SOA Solutions”.

Kasun joined WSO2 in December 2009 and is currently working as a Associate Technical Lead. He is working on the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus Project.

Ken has 14 years experience in sales & marketing, systems analysis and development. Currently the CTO of Datatel Solutions, Ken is also a member and contributor to WebObjects Community Association specializing in environment configuration for WebObjects development. He focuses on telecommunications standards implementation for Business Support Systems-as-a-Service to enable telecoms channel sales.

Since 2007 Maria has been working as a Java Programmer for an organization which is commited into developing software for e-Government not only in Saint-Petersburg, but in other parts of the country, too. Last year she started working as a project manager on a project that aims to create a fully functional infrastructure for providing state services to citizens on-line and integrating various information systems that are involved in these processes.

Mifan is an ICT Entrepreneur. He is Director/CTO at Respere, a company specializing in Humanitarian Solutions, and a Director of Sahana, the disaster management system project. He is also a GIS Consultant and a contributor to many Open Source GIS projects. Mifan has worked on many projects related to pervasive technologies, mobile development, Enterprise Architecture, Business Intelligence, Disaster Management, and GIS.

Miyuru joined WSO2 in August 2009 and is a Senior Software Engineer. He is currently working on the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus team and is a commiter of the Sahana Disaster Management system. He took part in Google summer of code in 2008 where he developed a datamining and and visualization library for the Sahana Disaster Management System.

With over 14 years experience in the IT industry, Neeraj has held various senior IT leadership positions with organizations such as 2degrees, IBM, and HP-EDS. He has extensive telecommunications domain knowledge and has played a key role in the set-up, launch and growth of two start-up telcos, in addtion to spending five years working for an established, dominant Telco – Telecom New Zealand.

Nelson is a dynamic IT manager in the Financial sector, successfully driving revenue generation, high performance cultures, emerging talent and results. He is forward thinking balanced by a disciplined approach to people and technical management.

Nuwan joined WSO2 in July 2009 and is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer and Product Manager of the WSO2 Gadget Server team. He was also involved with R&D in the European Union’s Information Society Technologies projects (2007-2008) in the areas of SOA and mobile computing.

Philippe started his career working as a System Engineer for companies such as Sun Microsystems and BEA and then evolved to the role of SOA architect. He started working with WSO2 products at Intermountain Healthcare, where the platform helped solve complex interoperability problems and patterns implementation.

Prabath joined WSO2 in November 2007 and is currently a Software Architect and Senior Manager. He is an Apache Axis2 PMC member and has more than 7 years industry experience. Prior to joining WSO2, Prabath worked at Virtusa (NASDAQ: VRTU) for 3+ years. He has presented at numerous conferences including OSCON, ApacheCon, Apache Asia Roadshow, WSO2Con 2010, and WSO2 SOA Workshops. He has been involved in developing the OASIS Identity Metasystem Interoperability Version 1.0 specification.

Pradeep joined WSO2 as a Software Engineer and currently works on the Carbon core (WSO2 Carbon) team.

Prajod has 15 years of experience in designing and implementing J2EE and SOA based solutions for Fortune 500 organizations. He leveraged TOGAF, to create the SOA based Integration Architecture of a large Indian Telco, and has created the SOA based integration solution for a Canadian Insurance provider. Presently, Prajod leads open source evangelization for Wipro’s Enterprise Business Integration team.

Ganesh Prasad is an IT practitioner with 24 years of experience in software development, project leadership and architecture. His most recent experience over the last 8 years has been in governing the architecture of shared services (Identity Management, Integration, Presentation, Communication Gateways, etc.) in large financial services organisations. He has worked in India, the Middle East and Australia, and has been based in Sydney since 1998.

Ganesh writes extensively on technical matters. He has co-authored two books “Professional Linux Deployment” and “Beginning PHP4″ by Wrox Press. He is also the co-author of the popular whitepaper, “Life Above the Service Tier”, which introduced the SOFEA style of building application front-ends. Sameera joined WSO2 in May 2008 and is Technical Lead & Product Manager – Carbon. He is currently working in WSO2 Carbon and WSO2 Web Services Application Server teams.

Sanjaya Karunasena is an Enterprise Architect with nearly 15 years of industry experience. Sanjaya has significant experience in application of information and communication technology for business development, management of enterprise systems, product development and enterprise software development, including experience in the retail, telecommunication, eGovernment domains, and providing leadership for large engineering teams.

He is a member of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), and also a Project Management Committee (PMC) member and committer for a number of projects at the ASF. Senaka founded WSO2 WSF/C++ during his internship at WSO2 in 2008.

Shankar joined WSO2 in September 2007 and works as a Senior Software Architect and Senior Manager. He currently works on Stratos, Axis2/C, WSF projects and interoperability.

Simon joined Gödel in 2009 to enhance the service delivery team in the UK, providing the interface between customers and the Gödel development team. His previous experience includes technical account management, project management, technical architecture and lead engineering. He holds a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford and is a PRINCE 2 practitioner. Simon also holds many industry certifications from the likes of Microsoft, Novell and LPI.

Srinath joined WSO2 in June 2009 and is a senior software architect working on the solution architecture team. His expertise are in Web Services and Distributed Systems. He has been involved with the Apache Web Service project since 2002 and is a member of Apache Software foundation, PMC and the Apache Web Service project. Srinath is also a committer of Apache Axis, Axis2, and Geronimo, and a co-founder of Apache Axis2.

With over 10 years industry experience in Java, J2EE and database technologies, Sumedha is an Architect and Senior Manager at WSO2. He initiated the award winning WSO2 Data Services Server product and has also contributed heavily to WSO2′s Governance Registry, Application Server, BAM, and Carbon platform products. He is also a Apache Committer of Apache Axis2. Interested in emerging data storage techniques and its application to distributed computing, Sumedha is actively involved in onsite client engagements and defining solutions. Sumedha holds a B.Sc in MIS from the National University of Ireland.

Supun is a Software Engineer and currently works on WSO2 Application Server team. During his intership period at WSO2 in 2009, he worked with Indiania University, XCollabs labs to port and implement their applications in axis2/java.

Tharindu joined WSO2 in May 2009 and is a Senior Software Engineer and Product Manager of the WSO2 Business Activity Monitor team. He founded WSO2 WSF/Spring during his intership for WSO2 in 2008. He also contributed to implementing Hessian Support for the WSO2 ESB. He took part in Google Summer of Code for 2008 for the open source JDK implementation Apache Harmony.

Thilanka is the Head of Human Resources & Operations at ODEL PLC. He has over 10 years experience in human resources, customer service, and facilities management. Thilanka is very involved in coordinating several projects that enhance in-store customer experience.

Thilina joined WSO2 as a Senior Software Engineer on the WSO2 Identity Server and Security team and is now an Associate Technical Lead and Product Manager of the WSO2 Identity Server.

Udayanga joined WSO2 in September 2010 as a Software Engineer after already interning at WSO2 in 2008 where he worked on several WSO2 projects including WSF/Ruby (Axis2), WSSecurity and WSO2 Carbon.

Waruna a Senior Software Engineer on the WSO2 Business Process Server (WSO2 BPS) team and possesses experience in OpenMP, MPI/MPICH2 in C/C++.
