Our webinar "Building Blocks of a SOA Mediation Platform" demonstrated the underlining strengths of WSO2 ESB. Highlights included using the ESB to help system administrators and SOA architects simply and easily configure message routing, virtualization, intermediation, transformation, logging, task scheduling, load balancing, fail-over routing, event brokering, and more.

But although these features are sufficient for most enterprise tasks, a common question we've received is how to go even farther - what extension points are available and how can one create and deploy customized mediators.

This webinar for advanced ESB users and developers will take a look at extending the WSO2 ESB functionalities to suit your custom requirements. Your presenter Rajika Kumarasiri will cover the following topics:

  • Various extension points in the WSO2 ESB - Class mediator, Pojo Command mediator, Script mediator, Custom mediator, Custom task
  • Component Abstractions
  • Mediator interface, Task interface, AbstractMediator class
  • Writing a "hello world" class mediator
  • Writing a "hello world" custom mediator.

Rajika Kumarasiri, senior software engineer and part of the core WSO2 ESB team, also contributes to Apache Synapse project.
