With the availability of elastic cloud infrastructure, enterprises today can save costs by avoiding huge hardware investments, deploy applications faster, and pay for only what they need at that time. Traditional application servers however don’t meet the needs of application developers moving to the cloud. Application servers are expected to support a wide range of deployment options which include installation on public and private clouds in addition to standalone usages.

The WSO2 Application Server is an enterprise-ready cloud-enabled application server. It is powered by Apache Tomcat and integrates Apache Axis2 and Apache CXF frameworks. Coupled with features of WSO2 Carbon, users can now manage their applications that range from Web services including JAX-WS and JAX-RS to web applications in a unified manner within the management console itself. In addtion the WSO2 Application Server’s seamless integration with any WSO2 Carbon based SOA platform, addresses the SOA ecosystem integration challenge faced by many application developers.

Join Sagara Gunathunga in this webinar as he presents an architectural overview of the WSO2 Application Server and show how to develop Web services and Web applications together with the WSO2 Developer Studio.

He will cover features of the WSO2 Application Server including

  • Multi-tenancy support.
  • Lazy loading and resource sharing.
  • Dependency Management and class loading.
