Sun Tzu said “if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss”. These words have never been truer than in our time. We are faced with an avalanche of data. Many believe the ability to process and gain insights from a vast array of available data will be the primary competitive advantage for organizations in the years to come.

For some insights, there is no hurry. You may take your time processing events. However, for some others, their value is increased many folds if you can get them fast. We call the latter case real-time analytics.

In this session, Srinath Perera Director Research at WSO2, will discuss WSO2’s middleware offering in Big Data Analytics and explain how you can put them together to build a solution that will make sense of your data. He will discuss how you can collect data, process them, and present the results using WSO2 BAM and related WSO2 products. He will also discuss how the model works for both batch processing as well as real-time analytics.

Srinath Perera Director - Research Srinath oversees the overall WSO2 platform architecture alongside WSO2 CTO Paul Fremantle. He specializes in Web services and distributed systems, specifically working with aspects of data, scale, and performance. He is a co-founder of Apache Axis2, an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation, and a Project Management Committee member. He has been involved with the Apache Web Services project since 2002, and is a committer on several Apache open-source projects, including Apache Axis, Axis2, and Geronimo.
