API Security has become an important concern in recent times as organizations are more cautious about exposing raw, sensitive data via APIs. Therefore, it is important that APIs adhere to the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) to ensure API security.
WSO2 has partnered with 42Crunch, to bring in the ability to conduct a security audit on the OpenAPI Specification definition, and to obtain an audit report.
The WSO2 API Manager 3.1 brings a lot of interesting features, including the ability to run 42Crunch’s audit tool directly from the API Publishing portal.

Presenters
Isabelle Mauny, co-founder and CTO of 42Crunch spent most of her career at IBM, across a variety of technical roles, at the European level. She was part of the IBM WebSphere Strategy board and played a key role in the deployment in Europe of flagship products such as the WebSphere Application Server or DataPower appliances. During her time at IBM, she worked with the largest organisations both as a solutions architect and services professional. In 2009, she joined Vordel (acquired by Axway) as head of product management to then take the responsibility of the entire WSO2 portfolio as VP of Product Strategy in 2012. Isabelle is passionate about delivering customer-focused solutions and evangelizing the community about them. She has authored multiple books and is a regular speaker at technical conferences.
Sanjeewa Malalgoda is an Associate Director - Engineering and Software Architect at WSO2 and also a key member of the WSO2 API Manager team since its inception. He has more than 10 years of experience in the integration and API Management domain. He spearheaded architectural, research, and development aspects of WSO2 API Manager. He is a well versed consultant who has actively involved in designing and building API management solutions for WSO2 customers, including many Fortune 500 companies. He has also spoken in numerous conferences related to API management. He graduated from the University of Peradeniya and specialized in computer science and engineering.
Sanjula Madurapperuma is a Trainee Software Engineer at WSO2 currently working with the API Manager team and a third-year Software Engineering student at Informatics Institute of Technology. He also achieved the 1st in the World award for the Level 4 Diploma in Computing from NCC Education, UK in 2018. Being an avid open-source enthusiast, he spends most of his free time contributing to open-source communities and is a frequent contributor to the OpenMRS platform. During his time at WSO2 he has worked with React, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, and Ballerina.
