WSO2 Privacy Toolkit

Accelerating GDPR compliance step by step

As the May 2018 compliance deadline for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes closer, organizations all around the world are looking to adopt the right technology that accelerates their compliance, take advantage of the regulation and rapidly grow their businesses.

The “right to be forgotten” is a user right outlined in GDPR, which gives individuals the right to request the organization to erase their personal data with immediate effect. Erasing all record of this individual’s activity may impact your business processes, so the best way to comply is to only remove data that can identify the individual.

WSO2 provides a Privacy Toolkit, which helps you easily do this by anonymizing records related to a deleted user to fully comply with the right to be forgotten rule.

What Does It Do?

WSO2 Privacy Toolkit contains a simple command line tool, which can be used with any supported WSO2 product. It will anonymize all related metadata in product databases (excluding user stores), log files and analytics data by removing references to deleted user identities.
