WSO2 LLC. is sponsoring the WSO2 Certified Professional of the Year (WCPY) contest to recognize currently certified professionals who demonstrate ingenuity, hard work, and expertise. The contest begins on December 15, 2022, and ends on January 15, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EST. (Contest Term).
To be eligible to enter the contest:
To enter the contest, the nominee (or nominator, if the nominee is nominated by someone other than himself/herself) must complete all required fields on the nomination form during the Contest Term.
Entries received after the submission deadline will not be accepted. WSO2 will not accept responsibility or liability for any lost, late, mislaid, or incomplete entries with all such entries deemed invalid.
To enter, you must provide personal information in order for WSO2 to process and evaluate the nomination. This information will be used solely for the purposes of the contest and will be treated in accordance with the WSO2 Privacy Policy found at https://wso2.com/privacy-policy. Nominee personal data will be deleted from our systems within 6 months of the end of the evaluation for the competition. The winners’ details will be published on our website for a maximum period of 10 years.
Judging will take place between January 15, 2023, and January 31st, 2023. Submissions will be rated and ranked by a panel of experts in the field of business and open-source technology.
The contestant whose submission receives the highest overall ranking in the region from the judges will be declared the WSO2 Certified Professional of the Year (2022) Award Winner for the region, and the Contestant whose Submission receives the second-highest overall ranking from the Judges will be declared the Runner-Up for the region. The winner and runners-up for each region will be notified by email on or after February 1, 2023 (“Award Notification”). The judges do not independently verify information contained in your award entry and will be relying on you to provide accurate and truthful information in your award entry.
Points will be calculated for individual certifications depending on the level of complexity. Practitioner < Developer / Sales Professional< Expert / Solutions Architect
The Winners and Runners-up for each region will have a summary of their accomplishments and reasoning behind winning posted on the WSO2 website.
By entering the Contest, you:
a) confirm that all information provided by You is true and verifiable in all material respects.
b) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements listed herein.
c) agree that these terms and the decisions of judges are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. WSO2 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reschedule or cancel the competition, or to alter or remove any award or benefit offered.
d) agree that, except where prohibited by law, each regional Winner and Runner-up’s Submission, name and/or likeness will be displayed by WSO2 for advertising and promotional purposes of its training courses, in any media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice, compensation, consideration, review, or consent.
The names of the Winners and Runners-Up will be posted online on the WSO2 website as well as other social media platforms.
WSO2 will not be liable for any death, injury, financial loss or damage sustained by any contestant as a result of, or arising from any circumstances, including but not limited to financial losses arising from (a) the rescheduling or the cancellation of the Contest, which right WSO2 hereby reserves (b) for the the awarding and use of the prize by the contestants/nominees (c) any unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content beyond WSO2’s control.
All the contestants and nominees agree to indemnify WSO2 against all costs, claims, damages and expenses that any contestants and nominees incurs as a result of, or in connection with; any breach of this agreement by the contestants and nominees; or any complaint or claim made or brought against WSO2 in respect of any act or omission on the part of any contestant and nominee, its agents or representatives.
This contest is subject to and is governed by the laws of the State of California, without respect to its conflict of laws principles.
