Tonny Bbosa is a highly skilled digital transformation and ICT professional with over 15 years of experience in information technology, software development, enterprise systems, and digital government transformation. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Makerere University, Uganda. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM®), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) professional. Currently, Tonny serves as the Manager, Business Transformation at the National Information Technology Authority–Uganda (NITA-U), where he leads strategic initiatives that modernize government operations, strengthen interoperability, and improve technology- enabled public service delivery. He has extensive experience as a full-stack software developer, systems analyst, and project manager, with a strong background in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise solutions. Throughout his career, Tonny has implemented government-wide enterprise solutions and digital platforms across Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, and Zambia. His expertise spans business transformation, systems integration, project management, information security, software development, IT infrastructure, and digital service delivery. Through his work at NITA-U and across regional ICT projects, Tonny has contributed to the successful delivery of digital services that have improved efficiency, strengthened governance, and enhanced service delivery. He is passionate about using technology, innovation, and strategic leadership to accelerate digital transformation across Africa.
