Srinath

Srinath counts over 15 years of experience in software architecture and programming. His expertise encompasses a wide range of specialist areas in the technology space, ranging from data science, software architecture, research, and programming focused on distributed systems.

He is a co-founder of the Apache Axis2 project and a member of the Apache Software Foundation. He has co-architected a number of real-world distributed systems, including Apache Axis2, Apache Airvatha, and Siddhi Complex Event Processing Engine. He has also authored two books and 40+ technical articles.

He leads WSO2’s research team and growth hacking efforts and is a member of the senior leadership team. He also contributes toward both product and business strategy.

Srinath received a Ph.D. from University of Indiana, USA, in 2009 and is a research scientist at the Lanka Software Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides a platform for Sri Lankan software engineers to create open source software technology. He’s also a visiting faculty member at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

When Srinath is not buried in deep technical research, you may find him engrossed in a game of chess. He’s also an avid reader and history buff and enjoys gardening.
