Chintana Wilamuna

Chintana Wilamuna joined WSO2 in November 2006. He is an associate technical lead on the solution architecture team, focusing on infrastructure development. He also started the WSO2 Web Services Frameworks for Ruby and Perl. In addition to his product development efforts, Chintana has provided technology consulting on customer engagements, including architectural guidance, integration of Web services, print process automation, and online management solutions.

Chintana is a committer on the Apache Stonehenge project. He also started WSF/Ruby and WSF/Perl. He specializes in distributed and parallel computing, programming languages, functional programming, high scalable architectures and cloud computing.

Chintana has spoken at the O’Reilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) in 2007, 2010, and 2011. He also has published numerous articles and led WSO2 technical webinars and workshops on a variety of cloud topics, including setting up an in-house private cloud, mobile application development, and enterprise integration

Chintana holds a B.Sc. with special honors in information technology from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). He is currently reading for a master’s degree in information technology.

Chinthana enjoys practicing yoga, dancing and a game of scrabble as well. He is also an ardent fan of heavy metal music.
