Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Product Officer of WSO2, a company he established in 2005 to pioneer open-source enterprise software. A member of the Apache Software Foundation and a former board member of the Open Source Initiative, Sanjiva is deeply committed to open technologies. His dedication extends to Sri Lanka, where he founded and chairs the Lanka Software Foundation, Lanka Data Foundation, and Avinya Foundation, organizations focused on the advancement of technology, data accessibility, and education.

Sanjiva holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka. His past roles include serving on the boards of Sampath Bank and numerous leading research and academic institutions in Sri Lanka. He also served as the IT Advisor to the Sri Lanka Army as a Direct Enlisted Volunteer Officer.

Selyna Peiris is a lawyer, social entrepreneur, and policy specialist redefining ethical business in Sri Lanka. Zayd Mahomed is the Chief Technology Officer at Vitality Global., where he leads the global technology strategy for the Vitality behavioral-change platform. He has over two decades of experience in software development and engineering, driving digital transformation across 24 markets and reaching more than 20 million users. Before becoming CTO, he served as Head of Engineering and Head of Development at Vitality. His earlier roles include Solution Architect at Discovery Holdings and Manager at Accenture. With over 25 years of global experience across finance, logistics, aviation, and energy, Vidura brings deep expertise. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from RMIT University, Australia.

Before joining WSO2, Kanchana served as the CEO of Platformer Cloud Pty Ltd. He played a key role in launching Platformer, developing its products, and leading a talented team of engineers. Kanchana was also instrumental in initiating the Kubernetes Community (CNCF-backed) in Sri Lanka and establishing Platformer as the first certified Kubernetes Certified Service and Training Provider in Sri Lanka. Prior to starting Platformer, he worked with several multinational companies in New Zealand and Australia, where he delivered various new technologies and services. He was recognized as a Distinguished Architect at EDS (New Zealand) for his leadership in the global open source community.

Shankar has over two decades of experience in the technology industry, with expertise in telecommunication billing systems, web services, cloud deployments, integration, and security. His tenure at WSO2 has included roles in product development, solution architecture, and head of engineering, where he collaborated with numerous global clients on their digital transformation initiatives. Currently, as the head of WSO2's Integration Business Unit, Shankar is responsible for the strategy and overall management of the Integration business.

Rania Khalaf is Chief AI Officer at WSO2 and a global AI and cloud leader with a track record of driving innovation and building diverse, high-performing teams. Previously, she was CIO and Chief Data Officer at Inari, where she built data and AI-driven capabilities for food security and sustainability. As Director of AI Engineering and Distinguished Scientist at IBM Research, she advanced AI and cloud innovations, delivering them into open source, and to products in Watson and the IBM Cloud. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from MIT and a PhD from the University of Stuttgart. Rania serves on academic and industry boards, driving impact in AI, sustainability, and education.

Aditya, a Subject Matter Expert at Vodafone IOT, is responsible for transforming Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the Vodafone’s IoT Platform. With over 20+ years of experience in IoT Products & Security, IAM, Enterprise Mobility Management, Networks, and BSS/OSS domains, he is a recognised expert across a wider range of technology and has a deep understanding of the industry. He is responsible for the overall strategy for IAM solutions. Aditya is a seasoned speaker on key trends in IAM.

Artem Lajko, certified Kubestronaut and Platform Engineer, specializes in Kubernetes scalability and GitOps-driven workflows. He is the author of Implementing GitOps with Kubernetes, co-founder of connectii.io, and an IT freelancer writing for various publishers. Zakayo is a results-driven Technology Director with 15+ years of experience leading IT strategy, digital transformation, and innovative technology solutions. With a strong background in process automations and software engineering, IT systems Architecture and Strategy, product development and innovations, Technology department operations & budgeting, Agile and predictive project management, data processing and reporting. Nebyat Assefa is the Chief Information Officer at Hibret Bank, with over 18 years of experience in the banking technology sector. Starting his career as a developer in 2007, he has played a pivotal role in several groundbreaking initiatives in Ethiopia, including in-house implementations of Oracle FLEXCUBE and Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX). A Kenya-based financial technology expert and innovator, Vinod brings a forward-thinking, blue ocean perspective to identifying and pursuing untapped opportunities. With 26 years in the technology sector—16 of them in FinTech—he is known for his strategic insight and multidisciplinary approach.

Janak is a Technical Lead at WSO2, specializing in the design and development of WSO2's Identity and Access Management products. Joseph currently leads the developer tooling division at WSO2, bringing forward innovative solutions to enhance developer experiences. Before taking on this role, he was an integral part of the Ballerina team, spearheading the developer tooling initiatives, showcasing his commitment to improving development processes. His tenure at WSO2 also includes a significant contribution to the WSO2 API Manager (APIM), where his expertise in API design and implementation played a pivotal role in advancing the product's capabilities. Before joining WSO2, Joseph's career included impactful positions at Respere Lanka Private Limited and the Lanka Software Foundation. In these roles, he led and architected multiple open source and government projects.

Manjula brings over 14 years of experience at WSO2, currently serving as the director of engineering and leading the engineering team responsible for Choreo architecture. Starting as a software engineer, he played a leading role in the development and management of public cloud offerings on virtual and containerized environments. Passionate about Kubernetes technologies, Manjula holds CKS, CKA, and CKAD certifications, along with a B.Sc. in engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Maryam is a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2 with over eight years of experience in the industry. She has contributed to the integration product stack at WSO2 and has been a core member of the teams working on the design and implementation of the Ballerina programming language, with a particular focus on the core language and compiler. More recently, her work has expanded to explore the integration of natural language and generative AI into the software development process.

Tharik Kanaka is a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2, with over a decade of experience in the software industry. He serves as a lead developer of the Ballerina programming language and the integration team. Prior to this, Tharik made contributions to WSO2's analytics products. His core interests lie in integration technologies and the cloud-native ecosystem.

Lakmal Warusawithana is the VP and Distinguished Engineer at WSO2, with extensive experience as a Cloud Architect and Platform Engineer specializing in cloud-native technologies. With a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable platforms, he has been instrumental in simplifying enterprise development through modern infrastructure solutions. Previously, he served as Vice President of the Apache Stratos PaaS Project and co-founded thinkCube in 2005, where he led engineering, scalability, and service delivery for Collaborative Cloud Computing products tailored to telecom operators. A seasoned speaker, Lakmal has shared his expertise at major industry events, including ApacheCon, CloudOpen, QCon, JaxLondon, Cloud Expo, CloudStack Collaboration Conference, and WSO2Con.

Before he joined WSO2, Binura worked as a senior software architect at Platformer Cloud, Australia. His main focus at Platformer was around building distributed, cloud native solutions as part of the company’s product suite and for external clients. He has led multiple developments and infrastructure-related projects spanning a range of domains from Kubernetes, Cloud, ML/analytics, IoT, and financial services. He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), and also a certified Google Cloud Professional Architect. He now leads the engineering team for the DevOps vertical within Choreo.

Ayesha Dissanayaka is spearheading WSO2's pioneering research in IAM for Agentic AI, defining the future of enterprise security for autonomous AI systems. She leads R&D initiatives to identify and solve identity and access management challenges unique to AI agents in enterprise environments.

Previously, Ayesha was the architect and product leader for Asgardeo, WSO2's Identity-as-a-Service solution. Since beginning her career as a software engineer in 2014, Ayesha has evolved into a thought leader in identity management with a decade of expertise in the IAM domain.

Manuranga Perera is a software architect driven by a passion for the intersection of programming languages, frontend design, and developer experience. At WSO2, he has spent over a decade contributing to projects, including the Ballerina programming language. Now leading the Devant team, he focuses on creating tools and platforms that developers love to use.

Isuru, an expert in enterprise integration, currently playing the role of Product Manager of WSO2 Integrator product. His journey began as an intern at WSO2 in 2010, progressing to his current role as director of engineering after 12 years of dedication. Throughout his tenure, he has provided technical guidance to integration software teams and spearheaded various customer initiatives like Quick Start programs and Architecture Reviews. Additionally, Isuru actively contributes as a Committer and serves as the vice president of the Apache Synapse open source ESB project.

Shafreen, with over a decade of experience in core Java, software architecture, and agile project management, has excelled in leading the standard library team for Ballerina, a language for cloud native applications. As the lead developer of Ballerina's HTTP transport, he created a robust, scalable library supporting key internet protocols. At WSO2, he contributed to the renowned ESB product, the fastest open source ESB in the world. Shafreen also led a team of 70 engineers as an engineering manager, fostering a culture of excellence. His commitment extends to the open source community as an Apache committer and PMC member, demonstrating his leadership and expertise in technology.

Pubudu Gunatilaka is an Associate Director at WSO2, leading the product architecture for WSO2 API Manager. With over 9 years of experience in API management and cloud-native architectures, he has played a key role in advancing WSO2's API management solutions. A recognized thought leader in the industry, Pubudu has shared his expertise at global conferences such as APIDays, Nordic APIs, and Conf42, along with various tech meetups. He is dedicated to driving innovation in API management, Kubernetes-native API gateways, and API security to help enterprises build scalable and future-ready API strategies.

Thilini is an Associate Director at WSO2, leading the engineering team for the API Manager Business Unit. She drives the technical strategy and execution of WSO2’s API management product line.

Arshardh Ifthikar is an expert in API Management, Generative AI application development, and enterprise integration, specializing in building scalable API architectures and optimizing egress control for AI and SaaS applications. As a technical lead of the API Manager team, he has played a key role in helping numerous customers successfully deploy and integrate advanced API management solutions. Kishore Mahbubani is widely considered to be one of Asia’s leading global public intellectuals, having appeared several times in Foreign Policy Magazine’s list of top 100 global thinkers. In 2014, he was also listed by The Financial Times as one of the 50 individuals who would shape the debate on the future of capitalism. Tishan is a director at WSO2, currently heading eengineering team in Choreo product. In his current role, Tishan spearheads research and development efforts for the Choreo product owning delivery, quality, reliability and availability while nurturing and growing an efficient group of engineers. As the Chief Information Security Officer for WSO2, Nevi leads Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management efforts across the company. He provides strategic direction, governance and a customer focus to deliver securely at scale. Nevi has over 25 years of global experience in USA, Canada and Sri Lanka in both private industry and the public sector. His focus on Cybersecurity spans across finance & banking, healthcare, telecommunications, utilities, cloud computing, large scale technology and software development. He holds an MSc. in Information Science from Penn State University, USA and a BSc. in Information Systems from Drexel University, USA.

Krishan Wijesena is a Technical Lead at WSO2 with over eight years of experience in API Management. He is an expert in Kubernetes Gateway, its infrastructure, and federated gateway solutions, with a strong focus on building modern, scalable gateway solutions for cloud-native environments. As a Technical Lead of the API Manager team, he leads the Kubernetes Gateway initiatives and helps customers successfully integrate advanced API management solutions.

Malintha is a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2 with over a decade of experience in API Management. Malintha leads the API Management vertical within the Choreo and WSO2 API Manager SaaS. He has played a pivotal role in the architecture, design, and development of WSO2's API Management solutions, contributing significantly to their evolution and success in the modern cloud-native API management landscape.
