Competencies
A WSO2 Certified Identity Server Expert can:
- Propose pre-sales solutions that cover domain concepts and patterns, product features, architecture and message flows, extension points, connectors, third-party integration, and deployment and migration best practices.
- Deliver customized pre-sales demos, proofs of concept, and samples for given business use cases.
- Deliver development services for WSO2 Identity Server, including product configuration and artifact development.
- Set up WSO2 Identity Server and its dependencies using standard deployment patterns.
- Develop and deliver standard product extensions.
- Deliver product localizations and recommended customizations.
- Review the configurations and artifacts of a given deployment.
Exam content
This exam is based on WSO2 Identity Server 7.3.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of the following areas:
- User and identity management: user stores, claims and attributes, roles and permissions, organizations, approval workflows, and account recovery and locking
- Authentication: single sign-on with SAML and OpenID Connect, multi-factor, adaptive, passwordless, and app-native authentication
- Branding and localization of user-facing flows
- Federation with social and enterprise identity providers, and user provisioning with SCIM 2.0
- Access delegation and API authorization with OAuth 2.0, including tokens, grants, and scopes
- B2B CIAM: organization management and B2B applications
- Extending WSO2 Identity Server with actions, webhooks, and custom extensions
- Deployment and security: deployment patterns, keystores, encryption, and transport-level security
